The Winter School provides in-depth analysis and practical knowledge of CBC in Europe. Leading experts in the fi eld, both academics and practitioners, illustrate the rationale, history and legal instruments as well as societal, political and economic implications of CBC. Several case-studies involve key actors who manage CBC activities and institutions both within local, regional and national administrations and at international (Council of Europe) or supranational (EU) level. Special attention is paid to CBC in the European region of Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino where the Winter School is based.
